The exercise of contemplation as a meditative practice

The technological world, screens and routine leave us little room for a look beyond the office shutter. We live more and more enclosed between walls and partitions and, although many companies are adhering to a standard without walls and with game rooms, the demand for looking and breathing work still exists and persists. Only softened by the colorful pouf and the headphones with the favorite songs.

We change the format of the workspace, but we almost always keep a closed mind. The large and bright room, white or colored, modern, does not have the capacity to tear down the walls of the fast pace and the often tiring and meaningless molds to which we are subjected. daily.

Looking out the window, paying attention to the route you take to the company, allowing yourself to walk or use public transport, if possible, can turn the stressful daily routine into an interesting treasure hunt.
The exercise that transforms our routine and opens our vision beyond our physical eyes is called contemplation.

    real meaning of contemplation
Contemplating is more than just observing something.
When we look for the deeper and more exact meaning of the word, we soon come across the explanation that it is a meditative state. A kind of spiritual communion, connection with the divine, interior recollection and even benevolence. It also involves the term consideration. We consider that we are not alone, even.

It is very evident that contemplating what is around us is positive and is a way to meditate without having to schedule a date and time or wait for a vacation opportunity.

Learning to contemplate involves putting yourself back in life with the look of a child who is enchanted and who sits down to learn, without fear. A great exercise for our ego that sometimes decides to โ€œscreamโ€.

Contemplating is surrendering to an experience of delivery and there is certainly something to be received in this process, but what comes to us is always, always an answer, an inspiration, a touchโ€ฆ a gift.

And how to contemplate with delivery?

There's no need to get away from life and climb the highest hills, even if the view from above is very beautiful. Rather, it is necessary to have self-care as a discipline. Taking care of yourself is a non-transferable responsibility. Give the mind experiences of relaxation and rest. Giving breaks to the body is a matter of life so that we don't lose energy without replacement and we don't collapse.

The other day, I read a report about the Benedictine monks who circulate around the city, attend theaters, exhibitions, lunch with friends and I understood how much this experience brings them elements of inspiration and restoration of the spirit. No one, after all, is really an island.

Even if they wake up at five in the morning, produce their own bread, take care of the garden, respect silence and all the rules, such monks exist in life and in a dialogue with the world. It is this dialogue that allows a work of transformation to be carried out with all possible originality.

I noticed, when reading the article, that everything for them is a good exercise in contemplation. Contemplating allows the divine to then be seen in practice and put into practice. Which is very important!

I cited it as inspiration, because often, walls are not tangible, but they are mental and cause us a certain blindness.

We lost the ability to look up a pole, for example, and notice that there, in the middle of the gray city, lives a couple of well-meanings. The nest? Behind the light box. Every day they sing on the wire and only those who look up a little notice and stop looking at their cell phone incessantly.

For example: if I know that every 10 minutes I send non-significant audio via the app, then I use the breaks I have to pull the blinds and see what's happening in the world outside. If there is a possibility to walk more, to fill the water bottle and go through the garden, that's what I'll do.

At home, looking out the window and less at movies and series can also promote contemplation with delivery. A release of beauty and a receipt of beautiful lessons.

I usually see the port where I live. Every day, new ships and at night beautiful lighting. I've learned a lot about ships just by seeing them and I find it amazing when the heron passes right in front of the balcony at dawn, in a graceful movement that brings me peace. Then she goes down to the canal and goes fishing.

Contemplating with delivery is that. It's simple. It's learning to be present in your daily life. Butโ€ฆreal gift! It is a look without intellectualizing. It's a look that brings together a deep breath and a soft stretch. It seems that everything falls back into place and the energy is restored.

The exercise of contemplation as a meditative practice

A meditative practice is actually a practice where the energy becomes even sunnier.

Meditating is remembering who we are and in that memory involving the scenes that make up our days, through a loving look. We need to learn to see life as the truest and sweetest meditation exercise.

Contemplating is the meditative practice that can most transform you into an authentic โ€œyogiโ€!

    Enjoy and carpe diem.
